Education

I was raised in South Africa and I love teaching and tutoring students of all ages to help them develop their English skills. I have four years of experience teaching English abroad at both the tertiary level as well as primary level. The core areas of the English language are speaking, listening, reading, and writing. When working with a student I determine which of these is most in need of development to help the student reach their language learning goals. For example, some students are more interested in being able to speak the language fluently to prepare for a holiday. In that instance, we would focus on speaking and listening. Another student may be preparing for a written exam and need to focus more on reading and writing.

Experience

I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology. I then went on to earn a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and certification to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
