I am a qualified accounting professional with eight years of experience in different areas of finance with a leading telecommunications company. I also have three years of experience teaching accounting and finance to ACCA professional-level students, so I understand how to break down complex concepts in an educational setting. Students of finance and accounting are generally career-focused individuals, so I try and use my practical experience to illustrate how these concepts can be used in pragmatic ways. For example, a cost analysis of a marketing campaign may reveal that an aggressive approach doesn't make financial sense even if it increases our revenues if it increases costs by more. Likewise, financial lingo such as "accounts receivable" and "liabilities" may make more sense in a real-world context. I can adjust my teaching methodology to your needs though, so we're not limited to this approach.
